Exercycle - Product Overview
All you could ask for in a smart bike, at a fraction of the cost of other popular models in the market.
The Exercycle has been engineered by BH Fitness' road bike research and development teams to create an indoor bike with the style and function of a road bike.
The Exercycle has all of the connectivity features you would expect to see in rival models, including compatibility with the industry-leading simulation applications on the market, including Zwift, Fulgaz, Bkool, Kinomap and Rouvy.
When connected to a third-party simulation app, the Exercycle is capable of automatic resistance changes, i.e. if set to ERG mode or when simulating gradient changes. This allows for a more immersive riding experience or can be useful for when you just want to dial-in to a workout program and not worry about gear changes.
The Exercycle also has a built-in FTP test, so you can put your mental strength and sustained wattage to the test without the use of an app.
If you're looking to use this with others in the home, the Exercycle benefits from being easily adjustable, compared to an outdoor bike, so users can easily set the bike to their preferred position.
Overall, this is a forceful tool in your cycling training which can allow for structured training sessions without distractions. It can also serve you during the harshest winter months, or can even be a great alternative for when you don’t want to face traffic or a headwind!
Product Features:
Intuitive Design
Training at home on your indoor bike shouldn't feel like a foreign experience. The Exercycle offers a realistic riding experience, due to it's geometry, which is based off of the BH Aerolight road bike.
The riding position is realistic and also fully adjustable, meaning you can dial-in to your preferred position with ease. You can also equip the Exercycle with your own saddle and pedals, to create an even more familiar feeling with your road bike.
Q Factor of 152
The Q factor is the distance between the axles of the bike’s cranks. It is a typically unknown measurement when it comes to indoor cycling, but it's one of the main factors when looking to replicate a cycling feeling like that of a road bike.
The Exercycle team have dialled in on this with their road bike engineering experience and have managed to create an indoor bike with a Q factor of 152, which is one of the lowest in the market.
In practice, the Exercycle pedalling feeling is natural and also allows you to generate maximum force with each pedal stroke, like you could achieve on your road bike.
High Accuracy in Watt Measurement
Watt measurements is the holy grail of cycling training as it is the most consistent data point compared to heart rate or speed, which can be affected by various other variables.
Given it's importance in cycling training, BH Fitness have focused on this feature on the Exercycle and have implemented a robust and precise watt-measurement-system to give you control in your training.
EMS Resistance System
Resistance regulation is another important feature in any indoor bike and can make or break an indoor riding experience if it's too clunky or slow.
The electromagnetic resistance system built into the Exercycle offers precise and progressive resistance regulation, meaning the feeling of pedalling remains natural when increasing the resistance to go faster or to simulate a hill climb.
Third-party App Connectivity
The Exercycle is full compatible to the leading cycling simulation apps, including Zwift, Fulgaz, Bkool, Kinomap and Rouvy.
This is enabled by it's integrated Bluetooth FTMS module in the bike’s console.
Please note the tablet shown in the images is not included.
Exercycle Connect and Strava Integration
Included within your purchase is access to Exercycle Connect, which is an app that allows you can track, analyse and share your cycling training.
This is ideal if you prefer not to use the cycling cycling simulation apps, as the Exercycle App can connect your bike to your smartphone and provide data screens (like watts, cadence and heart rate) to support your training.
Your Exercycle Connect app will connect and upload your data to popular fitness health apps, including Strava, Apple Health and Google Fit.
